[2025 Roadmap - Learning resources management] Set up strategy for publication and dissemination of SWH learning resources

  • In addition to setting ground rules for collections management, an significant part of the project will be dedicated to the existing resources management - retrospective approach

Challenges

Challenge 1: coverage and management

  • the annex for the public talks doesn't enable to easily share all the resources produced by the team members
  • contributions from ambassadors (including shadow ambassadors) are currently not included in the SWH corpus

Challenge 2: resources diaspora

  • resources are disseminated in many SWH channels: YT, public talks annex, publications page, etc.
  • many resources produced by the team are handled by external partners: e.g. European projects, Programming Historian, CCSD, etc.

Challenge 3: end-user experience

  • resources are not easily citable for end-users: the level of service varies from a channel from another
  • difficult to search for SWH resources using the existing channels
    • not all the channels include a search engine
    • not all the outputs get a propper description

Challenge 4: traceability and impact

  • impact of the resources is difficult to measure and to analyze
